DHCP Configuration for Windows XP

Note that with Windows XP the interface can be heavily customized, therefore the screens below may not match. These are for an example only .


Click on the Start button
   
Select
Control Panel
   
Select Network
and
Internet Connection
   
Select Network
Connections
   
The Network Connections
screen will show
all installed connections. Choose the Local Area Connection and double click.
   
The Connection Status window will be displayed. Select Properties.
   
On the Properties window, highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then choose Properties .
   
Click on "obtain an IP
address automaticall"
Click on "Obtain DSN server address automatically".
Click " OK "
